We did not anticipate so much family time in the month of July but due to our unexpected summer, we did have some helping hands and lots of visits from my family! Since we do not see them very often, it was a beautiful blessing to be able to enjoy more extended time with them.
July 4th weekend, my brother came for FOUR DAYS which is so rare for him to be able to get away from work and the farm for that amount of time. We do try to encourage REST for him when he does come since that is usually not in his vocabulary.
Rance has been discipling Travis for a couple of years now through Skype on a weekly basis and of course lots of face time when we are actually together. As a wife and sister - it's a blessing to see such a close relationship between your husband and brother in general, but even more so spiritually speaking. A lot of the time Travis was here was focused on intentional study time for the two of them so Jayden and I played our little hearts out outside!
Here is a summary in pictures of our weekend together :)
Lots of truck watching first thing in the mornings
Of course the dump truck was involved, Jayden's favorite.
Who is going to run down the hill and get my dump truck? Any takers?
Driving home from the hospital after blood work!
One of my FAVORITES - look at him cutting his eyes at me...
He squats down like this ALL the time...
Lunch and fun at the river ...in the rain... on the 4th!
4th of July pool party with the Crisp & friends!
They throw the BEST parties each year - so much fun, food, and fellowship!
Nothing like watching fireworks being shot IN YOUR YARD!!! LOVE IT & Jayden slept through them all.
Sunday morning ready for church -
(this orangeness was not planned)
After church fun in the yard...
Jayden's fave = KELLY!
And that's a wrap on 4th of July weekend!
