Good morning, God!

Mornings are my FAVORITE and our household is made up of morning people.  It's so lovely!  The challenge of having Jayden be an early riser has been the fact that I need to get up by 4:30 am every morning in order to have my quiet time with the Lord before the little feet hit the floor running.   Since Jayden has been waking up between 5:30 and 6 these days, often times, we have prayer time together.  He loves to be outside so we will walk around outside talking to God, thanking Him for each gift we see.  This time is so, so sweet to my heart.  It's one of the few times Jayden is actually still and gazing and I love being able to pray with him.

After our morning walk, I grab my coffee and we make him a waffle (I'll never forget the excitement every single morning when I say 'are you ready for your waffle?') and usually sit out on the front porch to eat it.  Have I mentioned I love mornings?  The weather feels perfect at this time of day.

During this time, Jayden thoroughly enjoys watching the trucks and dump trucks, etc. moving all around at Crisp & Crisp below our house.  He is constantly saying 'truck, truck, truck.'

Eventually he ends up watering flowers, sweeping or pushing his own dump truck down the mountain.  Even the mornings I have to work, we still follow the same routine each morning.

Par-Tay - the big O-N-E

For Jayden's 1st birthday, our neighbors graciously allowed us to use their pool by our house for Jayden's party.  This was such a blessing because it was such a fun place to hang out, with little preparation, and just be with a few family and friends and chow down on some birthday cake!

It was somewhat overcast and rainy at the beginning of the party but hello, it was a pool party so it was great!

Jayden spent most of his time climbing steps, watering flowers, sliding across floats and of course, getting in and out of the pool.

Here we go for the picture overload...

We were delighted to have grandma and pa with us!

All of these guys are super special to Rance...

Oh words cannot describe my heart of love and thanks for my mom and Brooke!

Jayden has his Pa wrapped around his finger.

This is Jayden's Pop and Nona!  They are such blessings in our lives and have always been like parents to us here.

He loves climbing steps...

Boy loves to water some flowers - please notice his intense excitement!

A cake with a TRACTOR was only fitting...

There was NO holding back when the cake was placed in front of him!  He wanted to share with everyone.

I love family - we were so grateful Rance's sister Marla, Devin and Kenleigh were able to drive in from Georgia to be with us!

Love this picture of Dana, David, Melissa and Anna underneath the waterfall :)

What are these two lovebirds talking about?!

After the party, we were able to grab a few shots of Jayden with my parents before they headed back to eastern North Carolina.  Jayden did not want his Pa to leave.
