Coondog & Gina

Coondog - Remember this post?  Lindy got the family name "coondog" last year and well, it just STUCK.  Gina, on the other hand, is Autumn's nickname and there is no rhyme or reason except it just fits.

Hopefully you know by now that Coondog & Gina are a BIG DEAL in my life.  I began investing in Coondog back in 2011 and Gina in 2012.  These two lovelies bring JOY to my heart.  Walking through this life with them is incredibly fun but watching their love for Jesus grow and their desire to live a life glorifying Him is what makes my heart explode.

Both girls, who are best friends might I add (though so very different), graduated from high school in May.  Coondog moved to college a couple of weeks ago and is now a student at UNC-Asheville.  Gina is still living in Robbinsville but taking classes at a community college here until she transfers elsewhere.

Last week, Gina and I jumped in the car after work and headed to Asheville to see Coondog's dorm room and her new life as a college student.  Oh what fun, what fun!!!

Dorm room!!!!

Did I mention the Lord gave coondog a roommate that LOVES JESUS!?
yep, He did.

Wyatt Benjamin Thacker

Wyatt, oh Wyatt, I am so ready to meet you sweet boy!

We celebrated Jess & Ben's baby boy (coming soon) Friday night a week ago!  What is more fun than a bunch of ladies getting together on a Friday night eating, hanging out and laughing hysterically!?  We had a blast (or at least I did)!

homemade cake by Ashley & Heather (their first cake at that!)

Blessed by this friendship & thankful we get to live this crazy life for Jesus together!

Gina (real name Autumn)!  She blessed my
socks off helping me get ready for the part-tay!

One of the highlights of the evening were the games we played!  The first game was the Baby Price is Right where you guess the price of different baby items.  It was HILARIOUS to see the older moms who have teenagers guessing that diapers only cost $8-$12 when they obviously haven't had to buy diapers in quite a while.  Needless to say, this game was quite entertaining.

BABY PRICE IS RIGHT items to guess the price of!

We split up into 2 teams and each team got a roll of toilet paper and had a couple of minutes to see who could create the best diaper on a teammate!

This cracks me up!  Jess was the diaper victim

Kaitlyn wore that diaper well!

Now let me twiddle my thumbs while I wait patiently for Wyatt to come out and play!

Roozy's Bachelorette Weekend

A couple of weekends ago (the week we moved back from Indiana), I headed to Asheville to celebrate my Roozy's (Dee) bachelorette weekend!  Dee and I met in middle school and were inseparable after that point. We played tennis together all through high school and both ventured off to NC State for college in 2001. We lived together for the next 9 years - from freshman dorm room until I got married and moved to Robbinsville in 2010.  We have definitely walked through many phases of life together and now we will be walking through one more life changing event together - MARRIAGE!!!  Hallelujah!

For the bachelorette weekend, we rented a beautiful house up on the mountain in Weaverville, NC and spent Thursday-Sunday celebrating Dee & her upcoming marriage to Brandon in October.

Thursday night when we all arrived, we unloaded our things and headed to dinner at a new restaurant in downtown Weaverville, NC.

Fun treats for everyone made by Blair!

LOTS of food for the weekend!

more treats from Margaret!

Roozy was very adament that we spend some time OUTDOORS white-water rafting and I am SO thankful that was her request.  On Friday, we headed out after breakfast for a day on the river!  The Lord blessed us with such a FUN guide and we all managed to STAY in the raft the entire time (except when we CHOSE to fall out OR we were PULLED out)!

Before heading out to the river!

After completing our day on the river!!! :)  What a blast!

With our guide who was AWESOME!

We went straight from the river (wet & all) to visit a bakery in town that we had heard SO many good things about.  This place was worth ranting & raving about because it was full of delicious goodies!

Lunch at Carmel's was delicious!

We enjoyed sitting out here didn't we Babyd?!

On Saturday evening, we headed back to downtown Asheville for a great dinner! We were so exhausted from shopping all day (I don't know how people do that all the time???) that we were back home by 10:30 watching movies!
