Saturday Date

This past Saturday - I became a tourist just like all the other million people that visit Robbinsville and the surrounding areas in the summer.  It's really unbelievable all the people that travel here this time of year.  You meet packs of motorcycles, car after car with bikes, canoes, or kayaks on top, and the hotels & lodges are FULL!

Lord, please do not let me take for granted the beauty that surrounds me every day.

Rance has so many places he wants to take me or show me, yes, HERE!  So Saturday we ventured out and had an amazing day outdoors!

We went biking on the trails at Deep Creek...
...and for all of you who have never biked in the mountains - it is EXTREMELY difficult for a girl from the flat lands :)

i love waterfalls.
We are at the top looking down at all the families that had rented tubes and were going down the river!  (Rachel - get your blog ready for these adventures I'm taking you on)
The smooth part of the trail :)
The part of the river where most everyone fell out of their tube :)  We shared many laughs watching from above!

Where we ate lunch on the Nantahala River - while watching some extremely gifted kayakers (including Rance's friend TY!)
Ty is in the green!  He is crazy good in the water!
A cup of coffee, the outdoors, & my sweet husband - a perfect Saturday!

Book your reservations now at the Shuler Bed & Breakfast - you don't want to miss the breathtaking mountains, outdoor fun, sweet fellowship, good food, and the beauty of His majesty!

"Consider the cost when Christians ignore Jesus’ commands to sell their possesions and give to the poor and instead choose to spend their resources on better comforts, larger homes, nicer cars, and more stuff. Consider the cost when these Christians gather in churches and choose to spend millions of dollars on nice buildings to drive up to, cushioned chairs to sit in, and endless programs to enjoy for themselves. It will be better, not just for the poor, but for YOU too, when you abandon the stuff you are holding on to."

HaPPy HuMp DaY

After being gone for 16 days from Robbinsville - I'm trying to get back into the swing of things, process all the Lord has opened my eyes to, and slowly make changes to make my life less about me and more about my sweet Savior & others.  Afterall, Mark 12:29-31 says "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.  This is the first commandment.  The second, like it, is this, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'  There is no other commandment greater than these."  So in a nutshell, we are commanded to 1. Love God  2. Love Others (and others meaning every.single.person.that.is.on.this.earth).

How I long to stand before Him in complete confidence one day (because we all will stand before Him one day) knowing that I absolutely used every single bit of my life, time, money, resources, spiritual gifts, and talents to glorify Him.  1 John 2:28 talks about this confidence!  To say "Jesus, I used up everything you gave me all for Your Glory."  I want this.  Do you?

2 Corinthians 5:10

Amplified Bible (AMP)
10For we must all appear and be revealed as we are before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive [his pay] according to what he has done in the body, whether good or evil [considering what his purpose and motive have been, and what he has achieved, been busy with, and given himself and his attention to accomplishing].

What are you living for today?  The world or Jesus Christ - because you can't live for both.
