Robbinsville Mission Team

Having all of our friends from Robbinsville spend 5 days with us in Zionsville in June was ABUNDANT and incredibly special!  The team met several weeks in advance before coming on the trip to spiritually prepare and grow together individually and as a team, as well as study through the book of Ephesians.  They arrived on a Wednesday and departed on a Sunday.  While their time here was short and we slept VERY little, the blessings that resulted were priceless.

Before the team arrived, we hit up Sam's & Walmart!  I love shopping with these sweet girls!

As soon as the team arrived on Wednesday, we all picked up right where we left off!  The girls went to talking and the boys went to battling on the court!

Thursday & Friday were spent working on the house project (see previous blog)!  Basically, the Robbinsville team was responsible for demolition on this house.  We stripped the house of everything, scraped paint, washed down all walls and ceilings, ripped out the carpet and an old bathtub, ripped off old shingles and put on the new, cut down all bushes outside as well as removing all vines from the house, digging a 6ft hole to find a pipe leak, sawing down LOTS of trees and limps, cutting down shrubbery and rebuilding a fence, burning a huge brush pile, painting the shed outside, spraying down the house, chopping up wood, etc.  To say we had a blast is an understatement.

After we all showered and had dinner in the evenings, we met in "the Living Room" to debrief for the day.  This was a special time of sharing and processing what the Lord was teaching us individually as well as a time of encouraging one another as a team.

Welcome to the Living Room!

The night ended in prayer!

On Saturday, we planned a FREE car wash (literally FREE, no donations accepted) in order to love on the community!  However, before the car wash began - we had a group of guys that RANDOMLY decided to run a 5K that morning first thing.  This was sporadic and SO MUCH FUN!  Some of the girls on the mission team made t-shirts for the guys advertising our FREE car wash at the 5K!  The entire team went out to cheer on and support my hubby, Lil Frank, Hamilton, Alex and Rory as they ran!

Check out those tshirts!

Let the car wash fun begin!

LOVE teamwork!

We were the crazies that stood out by the road jumping up and down advertising the FREE car wash!  I will never forget the funny looks, or no looks at all, as well as the crazy conversations like "why on earth would you wash cars for FREE???"

After Sunday morning worship, we said our goodbyes to the Robbinsville team and praised the Lord for all He did!

Goodbye, see you soon!

THE TEAM!

I look forward to sharing with you the continued progress on the house project!  You don't want to miss this!
