Like I said a month ago - we spent half of our time on the farm and the other half at the beach on our trip out east at the end of July/beginning of September. Our beach trip was Jayden's second time being at the beach in his lifetime but the FIRST time actually knowing it since he was only 2 months old last year when we were there.
On a side note, I always considered myself a beach bum - the girl who loved the sand, the beach, the waves, and everything the beach is made up of. It was my happy place! I would pick the beach over the mountains ANY DAY. It's so interesting how my heart has changed over the years. Do I still absolutely LOVE the beach? Without a doubt - YES! I am thrilled about the ONE trip we make a year to the east coast; however, it has been fun to ENJOY the mountains and mountain life in a way that I never thought possible. How is that so? Enjoying the Lord can happen anywhere - being in His presence and wrapped in His love is really the most happy, sweetest place on earth. Dare I say - these mountains feel like home to me ;)
Moving right along...
Please excuse the massive picture dump that is about to take place (
Jayden's FIRST experience running on the beach, toes in the sand, splashing in the water -
Family picture on the beach!
Here we go - can you see the thrill in his face?!
He is so thrilled can you tell?!?!
Every night around 8:05 to 8:10 PM - we enjoyed the sunset out on the balcony! If only this iphone would capture how magnificent HE REALLY IS!
Every morning looked like this...
Waffles on the front porch
and of course, COFFEE!!!
And our days looked like this...
The best part?!?! He was FREE TO RUN, ROAM, FALL, DIG, PLAY without constant head bangs, bruises, knots on his forehead, and all that! IT WAS ONE BIG GIANT SANDBOX! Not to mention, he said HEY to everyone on the beach!
He even made friends!
and played with other kids toys!
Our evenings looked like this... (Jayden's first hair do)
The Lord knows what a precious JEWEL Brooke is to our family!
He is my superman! My hero on earth!
Enjoying breakfast with Uncle Travis...
Rance would build Jayden his own little water hole every single day and it was a HIT! Rance would even catch little fish from the ocean and put in Jayden's water hole!!!!!!!!!
Loves him some BROOKE! On this trip he started saying her name with CONFIDENCE "BROOKE BROOKE!"
There is such a special love between these two. Noone else exist in the world when Jayden is around his Pa!
I love this picture of my dad and brother - standing almost the same!
..
And that's a wrap for our 2015 east coast family BEACH trip!
