THANKSgiving 2014

I am just now getting around to posting about THANKSGIVING and we are only a few days away from CHRISTmas!  Tick tock, tick tock!

We did head east for Thanksgiving this year but only for a very SHORT, quick stay.  We were there from Wednesday to Friday which seemed like a long way to drive for such a short stay; however, we are thankful we went because the family time was SWEET.  Not to mention, grandma & pa LOVED their time with Jayden since it doesn't happen on a daily basis.

We feasted on lots of good food, spent lots of time with family, played hard, slept little, and mom and I shopped until we dropped on Black Friday (our annual mother/daughter date day).

Just a few (VERY few) pictures from our stay:

I love Jayden looking at grandma in this picture!

I'm bummed my dad was missing in his picture!

The reason we left on Friday this year instead of staying until Sunday is because the ROBBINSVILLE BLACK KNIGHT high school football team had a HUGE, HUGE game that Friday night in Robbinsville in the state playoffs.  You see, the football team had remained undefeated up until this BIG game and that Friday night, it was labeled "THE GAME OF THE YEAR!"  We played Murphy, which we beat earlier in the season; however, they are no easy win!  In case you forgot, I wrote an earlier post on how football is a BIG DEAL around here.  We are a small town and the town shuts down on a Friday night to go watch the Black Knights play football.  This year has been extra special because of the AMAZING winning streak and excitement over the football team's undefeated season.  Rance felt STRONGLY about being at that football game that Friday night so we headed back Friday afternoon just in time for the football game.

AND THEY DID WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  More to come on that!
