LJ will have a new last name SOON!

One of my best friends on planet earth is Laura Johnson!  We met several years ago at Hope Community Church in Cary, NC and quickly became best friends.  Two of our biggest passions that we share are our love for Jesus and our love for Trinidad.  Laura has played a huge role in my life spiritually over the years and even after I moved to Robbinsville - we continued weekly phone dates to encourage one another and pray for one another.  We have walked through so many huge milestones in each other's lives over the past several years and one MAJOR milestone is about to occur in just a couple of months for Laura!  SHE IS GETTING MARRIED!

For those of you that do NOT know Laura well - she has had VERY high standards set for her husband.  She was THAT friend that I never had to ask the questions "Does this guy LOVE the Lord?  Does this guy encourage your walk with the Lord and draw you closer to Him?  Will this guy lead you spiritually?"  I did not have to ask Laura those questions because typically after ONE date, a second date would never happen because she could clearly discern whether or not a guy was husband material (based upon Scripture) and worth pursuing or not.  I have always loved this about her.  When Laura met Neil and she agreed to a second date - I knew something was up and so did she.  When the third and fourth date happened, we were both in SHOCK.  Fast forward 10 months and Neil proposed and on June 21, 2014 - the two will make a covenant with one another before God and become one flesh!

On a sad note, I may not be able to attend the wedding (...gaaaaassssp).  One thing I am so grateful for though is that when Laura and I discussed her wedding date and Jayden's due date being very close to one another - so much grace and no guilt was displayed to each other because we are so thankful for two huge milestone events in each other's lives and trust God's timing in it all.

To shower Laura with LOVE, I knew without a doubt I wanted to be able to throw a shower for her and MANDY was a huge blessing in helping me make this happen for Laura!  (In fact, I'm not sure how I thought I could throw a shower living 5 hours away by myself anyways.)  I must say - the two of us make a great party planning team plus we were pumped to FINALLY have some QT together.

Here are a few pictures from the day:
