Mayyyyy!

MaY HiGhLiGhTs!!!

Just hittin' the highlights for May because it was indeed a crazy month with the end of school & graduation and lots of banquets and all that jazz!
  • Teenagers & CoRnHoLe!
    • I wish I could express the thankfulness I have in my heart for God moving me to Graham county.  It changed everything and shifted my focus off of myself.  God is so jealous for my heart and your heart and He will do what He needs to do get every ounce of me and of you.  I also could shed oceans of tears for a husband that leads and seeks after the heart of God daily and who loves Jesus more than he loves me.  Not only that, he takes Jesus' call to discipleship very seriously and so do I.  The main focus of our ministry in Robbinsville at this time is in the life of teenagers.  My heart on this subject could fill up pages and pages worth of praise, tears, joy, heartbreak and the list goes on.  It's definitely encouraging to hear the heart of Paul and how definitely went through every one of these joys, praises, tears, heartbreaks, and all of the above for the churches he had poured into.  In the end, Rance and I cannot make the decisions for each teenager we invest in - but we can love them through it and extend grace the way Jesus would and be here when they do decide their own way is not sufficient.  Our home is open to them at all times and we gladly use it as a kingdom resource for lots of fun & fellowship!
We are SUPER thankful for a bigger yard & lots more space for people & parking!

    • Women of Joy in Sevierville, TN!  This weekend was AmAzInG (not to mention I only had to drive 1.5 hours to get there whereas my family drove nearly 7)!  It's hard to even describe how much each one of these gals mean to me!  The fun part this year is that Rance's cousin Charlena joined our ladies weekend get-a-away.  Not only do I love this group because they are family but even more than that, we share the most important common interest - JESUS CHRIST!  We love shouting, hollering and singing praises to our DADDY in heaven.  We know when to be quiet & we know when to be loud!
    In front of the Titanic!
Brooke, me, Charlena, Mama, Rita, Lauren, CJ & Dana

You know what we are doing! :)

THE GOSPEL! (From left to right)
He came, He died, He rose from the grave, He ascended, and one day HE IS COMING BACK!!!
It's a known fact that a t-shirt gets read over 3,000 times in its lifetime!  Because of this, I can't think of any greater message to share on a t-shirt than the gospel itself!  I had these shirts made for our group by an awesome friend in Robbinsville.  What's even more awesome is - we LOST count of the number of people that stopped us and asked us about our shirts - either what it meant, what the signs stood for, where we got them, and could they get one!!!
I believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ do you???

The Apple Barn!  One of the BEST restaurants in Pigeon Forge, TN!!!
    *Rita & Charlena*
    BEST FRIENDS!!!

    AT THE TN/NC Border!
This picture brings back a special memory because all day the weather was in the 60s!  When we reached the PEAK (top) of the mountain on our way home - IT WAS SNOWING!!!

    • Laura May's Baby Shower for the future Harper Elizabeth...
Our friendship began at birth :)

    *Cousins*
    Steph & Brooke

    • Extreme Home Makeover Edition at our Beach Condo!  At the end of April, my mom, bf Mandy and I headed down to our condo in Atlantic Beach for a little makeover edition.  You see, we had made no changes to it since my grandma decorated it back in 1995 when her and my granddaddy bought the condo!  Basically, our condo needed a lil' lovin' and we shopped til we dropped literally updating/upgrading and jazzin' up the place on a budget.  I am still mad at myself to this day for not taking BEFORE and AFTER pictures.  Let's just say, I am very happy the way it turned out!  Here is a sneak peak...
    Bedroom #1
    The brighter, The better!

Bathroom #1 - Matching the BRIGHT theme!
    (new paint & all!)
    Bedroom #2 - Nautical theme!
Just FYI - the shell lamp on this dresser was MAUVE - yes with the biggest, ugliest lampshade you can imagine!  Mandy and I had the bright idea to love on it instead of throwing it away!  She used her refurbishing skills and did an AMAZING JOB turning this lamp into something perfect!

    Bathroom #2

    New sleeper sofa & balcony!

Best for last - view from our balcony!
    *I love the beach*

There are still some things we want to do but we are very excited about the changes at this point!  If only you could see the before :)  Let's just say my grandma LOVED mauve & oh how I love her for it!  If you're interested in renting, holler at me!!!

May, oh May, what did we do in May?!  Coming soon................

    Marchin' On!

    MaRcH HiGhLiGhTs!
    • Rance turned 28!!!
    2.
    • My brother went ALL out and spent much time making Rance these cornhole boards for his birthday!  Do you think Rance loved them?!?!
    • LOTS of CoRnHoLe BoNdInG in Nahunta!  This has become an every Friday night shin-dig back home so if you live in the area - feel free to show up and play your heart out!  It's serious competition too!
I love Rance's form (yes that is him with the leg kick)!  Hmmm I love his backside & his legs!

    See these serious faces?
John boy, my daddy, Brooke & brother

    • Moving, Moving & more Moving (and my sweet parents came to help!).  Moving is one thing I have done A LOT of in my lifetime!  Did I have any idea whatsoever that the Lord would want us moving after living in our cabin only 1 year and 3 months?  Absolutely not!  Did I question Him?  Heck no!

    Stay tuned for ApRiL highlights!

Jeremy, Hunter, Boo Bear, Me, Savannah & Lindy
My friend Candice & her husband Todd were on a fun get-a-way celebrating their 2nd anniversary in Asheville, NC and we met up for a fun night of eating, bonding & sharing endless God stories!

As I said in the beginning - February was FULL of surprises too!  Let me share...

First, our landlord decided to put the house we were living in on the market again and so Rance and I began seeking after God's will on where we would move!  I could share the serious craziness that all happened within a week's time and how the Lord literally opened doors & shut them revealing His sweet will & plan clearly.  Rance and I fear the Lord and never want to make a decision outside of His will and we asked for His wisdom and the way He provided was overwhelming.

Let's just say LEAP YEAR DAY was a VERY BIG day in our lives!

    1. GOD PROVIDED US A HOUSE TO LIVE IN only a mile down the road from our other house!

    2. Kelly & Luke had a precious, sweet baby GIRL named Lily Shannon Ritter!
    Precious huh?!
       3.  My cousin Brandon proposed to my friend Mandy!

September 29th they will be married!

The day was full of undeserved blessings and I remember that day as if it was yesterday - Rance and I spent the evening crying, shouting, and thanking God for His provision!

    Stay tuned for more highlights...
