A SaTuRdAy in the GREAT OUTDOORS!

Jayden's birthday weekend meant family coming to stay which is always welcomed!  We love any excuse to enjoy the BEAUTY and GLORY of the Lord in these mountains so we definitely enjoyed time in the outdoors that Saturday (June 6th).

Unfortunately, I had an epic mom fail that day and forgot Jayden's sunscreen.  I was trying to 'avoid' taking the diaper bag so I thought I had packed everything in our day pack that was needed so the sunscreen didn't make the pack.  With these warmer days and the bright sunshine that was shining that day - I knew something was going to have to protect Jayden's skin.  My cousin Brooke came up with the most brilliant idea that worked wonders - CHAPSTICK with SPF!  Sounds crazy huh?!?!  She had a large tube that she literally rubbed ALL over Jayden's legs, face, arms, hands, etc.  Thankfully I had a hat that protected most of his head and face.

Here we go...

The weather was beautiful!!!!

 Oh yes, beholding His glory...

Be prepared for MANY jumping pictures! :)

I love this man...

Rance built Jayden somewhat of a fort with his FAVORITE orange blanket in hopes to keep him out of the sun and to our surprise, he actually stayed underneath it a lot of the time!

He's a little explorer...

Sipping on some water...

I think Jayden likes his fort ;)

We had no idea the camera had started snapping!

Jayden's first jumping picture!

Playing with crickets...

Another really fun part of our day together was taking Brooke (per her request) and Daniel to see the property building unfolding in the ministry we have been working alongside for a couple of years now.  It was so fun to share the excitement with them in the flesh on what the Lord is doing and to share the vision of the ministry.

I'm a big fan of this picture :)  Brooke and Rance discussing plans!

In the evening, we celebrated lil Frank's graduation - how is that even possible?!?!?  I cannot believe he is heading to Boone, NC to attend Appalachian State University in the fall but he is and we are so excited for his new journey there.  Rance may be slightly pumped b/c of the snowboarding in his future.

Family pic...

Guess who?!?!

Jayden with Grandma & Nana (he's yawning!!!!!!!!!)

Yep, I love this lady!

and this little man is GREAT!

I love that my family got to go to Frank's party too since they have been a big fan of his through the XC years!

It was a FULL SATURDAY!
